VETERANS DAY

World War I officially ended with the signing of the Treaty of Versailles in June, 1919.  Seven months prior, on 11/11/1918, a truce ended the fighting between allied forces and Germany on the 11th hour, 11th day of the 11th month on 11/11/1918.

Veterans Day was proclaimed by President Wilson in November 1919 as Armistice Day.  We celebrate Veterans Day each year on November 11th.   It is a day we remember those who sacrificed and honorably served in the Armed Forces of the United States of America.

Each year we have an opportunity to show our appreciation and give back to those who have served.

We always welcome and encourage you to get involved with Alpha Omega as a means to give back.

Visit this page again in Fall of next year for specifically planned Veterans Day events.
