OPERATION HOME FOR HEROES

THANK YOU!

WILL YOU HELP US BUILD A HOME FOR HEROES?

Operation Home for Heroes is a campaign to transform the former Marine Corps Reserve Center (MCRC) on Jackson Ave to be the new headquarters for AOVS. The property—22,000 square feet on 6.5 acres of land—will strengthen our ability to serve homeless and disabled veterans in the Memphis area with expanded capacity, additional services and a streamlining of operations.

This property will allow us to do so many things we never dreamed would be possible 35 years ago—a full gymnasium, art and music rooms, storage, streamlined operations, additional urban farm capacity and more housing.

But this dream-come-true is not without a price—renovations are projected to cost roughly $8M. A generous lead donor has graciously committed $5 million so we’re well on our way. But we need additional support from supporters like you to help us complete the mission.

WHY IS THIS URGENT?

Simply put, time is running out! There is a limited window for completion of renovations to the MCRC which has been granted to AOVS. Veterans Affairs (VA) requirements still in place in response to the COVID-19 pandemic mean we are having to house 10 veterans in a local hotel. We must open these residences soon!

GIVE TODAY! No gift is too small or too large.  Click here to print the pledge form.
